With clever use of paint effects and taking a cue for colour schemes from her art collection, Sue has created the epitome of a picture post card country cottage. Having fallen in love with a pretty village in Sussex, Sue rented a small semi-detached house in the main street and dropped letters through people's front door, asking the owners to let her know if ever they wanted to sell. After several months of no response, an agent rang Sue out of the blue with good news - a small period cottage had just come onto the market in a perfect early Victorian terrace with a large garden and three bedrooms.
